The last 48 hours have been a roller coaster ride. But I can now announce:
I have a ticket to Entebbe!
In the midst of trying to book flights, I found the price more than doubling from $1900 to $5400, even though the lower fares continued to be advertised. After several failed attempts to book the lower fares, Regal Travel by Design took over and they were able to book the ticket at the lower fare. Craziness!
God is using this to continue to build my humility and confidence in His leadership as I prepare to go to Uganda.
I am newly confident in His call and trusting Him to provide all the resources—spiritual, financial, and physical—that we will need.
There is still much to be done in terms of preparation (hotels, meeting space and materials, misc. medical, etc.) and in terms of financial provision (still praying for $2500 in needed funds).
I am now leaving on Weds. July 30, and will fly home Aug. 14-15. Three weeks from today is when I leave.
Will you pray with me? Our God listens, hears, and responds. I am confident that He has called and will make the way straight ahead of me. Will you join me in the grand adventure of stepping out in faith?
